RB Leipzig are reportedly prepared to sell their captain and attacking-midfielder Marcel Sabitzer to Arsenal this summer for a fee less than £15million.
The Gunners, who have almost completed the signings of Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White, Benfica left-back Nuno Tavares and Anderlecht’s Albert Sambi Lokonga, are now eager to get a new attacking-midfielder to replace Martin Odegaard, as the Norwegian player is returning to Real Madrid after the end of the loan deal.
Since Real Madrid are determined to involve the player in their plans throughout this season, Leicester City star James Maddison is considered to be Arsenal’s first option to cover that position but the Foxes are likely to demand about £60million for their attacking-midfield star which is quite lot.
However, according to Sport Bild, the Gunners have joined AC Milan and Roma in identifying Sabitzer as a target, which means they could make a considerable financial saving by getting him instead of James Maddison.
