Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has confirmed Niko Kovac will work with the team in upcoming Champions League match against Benfica.
However, the future of Croatian coach is doubted by Hoeness.
"Today is a tough day for us. There is a need for discussion internally.” He told BILD (via
The Sun)
"What I've seen on the first goal, I know only from slapstick movies."
"On Tuesday our coach will certainly be Niko Kovac." He added.
Bundesliga champions have failed to win a single domestic match since October 20. Despite the good results in Champions League, Bayern are only 5
th in the league with 9-point deficit from unbeaten Borussia Dortmund.
Niko Kovac’s side failed to keep the 2 goal advantage over Fortuna. The match ended up with 3-3 draw and now Kovac’s future will depend on the upcoming match against Werder Bremen.
