Manchester United chief Ed Woodward’s £25m threat to Bournemouth

Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward told Bournemouth chief Neill Blake he had 15 minutes to accept the club’s £25million deadline bid for Josh King. It emerged late on Thursday night - just over 24 hours before the deadline - that United had made an approach to Bournemouth for King. According to The Athletic, Woodward is said to have told Blake: “You have 15 minutes to tell us whether you accept, or we’ll be signing a player from China.” Bournemouth failed to respond in the timeframe and allowed the 15 minutes to elapse. United then signed Odion Ighalo on a six-month loan deal. Source: Express Join us on Telegram!
