The 18th edition of the FIBA Basketball World Cup kicked off in China. Eight teams from 32 played their second group stage matches.

In the Group E, Czech Republic beat Japan 89-76, while the USA beat Turkey 93-92.

Brazil beat Greece with a score of 79-78 and New Zealand beat Montenegro 93-83 in the Group F.

In Group G, Dominican Republic beat Germany with a score of 68-70, while France beat Jordan 103-64.

Lithuania beat Canada with a score of 92-62 and in the same Group H; Australia beat Senegal 81-68.
