Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is keen to leave Selhurst Park this summer and favours a move to Arsenal,
BBC Sport’s David Ornstein has announced.
However, Palace are loathed to lose their two best players in one window, as Manchester United agreed on a deal worth £50m for Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Palace have therefore slapped an enormous price tag on Zaha to ward off suitors.
Arsenal are keen to sign winger but would likely need to sell star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to afford the Eagles’ £80million price tag, according to
Metro.
The £80m valuation would make Zaha the joint-ninth most expensive player ever, tying the fee Real Madrid paid to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from United back in 2009.
Arsenal’s failure to qualify for the Champions League means they have a transfer budget of just £45m and will need to raise substantial funds.
VBet suggests that Zaha could end up at Arsenal and the odds for it is
1.80. The odd for Tottenham is
5.50, while for Borussia Dortmund it is
8.00. Meanwhile, for Aubameyang, the odds
3.50 that he can leave Arsenal for any Chinese Super League club.
