Alan Shearer explains why he picked Newcastle trio in his PL Team of The Week

Alan Shearer has selected his Premier League Team of The Week, with three Newcastle United players included on the list. Shearer was impressed by the Magpies' Martin Dubravka, Fabian Schar, and Jonjo Shelvey following the club's 1 - 0 win over Leeds United at the weekend. The pundit has explained his decision to pick the trio on the Official Premier League site. “Made one brilliant save and was commanding in coming for crosses during Newcastle United’s 1-0 win at Leeds United,” he said about Dubravka. When speaking about Schar, he continued: “Produced his best performance of the season at the back, heading the ball away from danger time and again.” As for the game's goalscorer, Shelvey, Shearer added: “Scored the winner and was only denied another by a good save. He needs to keep that level now.”
