Alan Shearer thinks that the Premier League is still a two-horse race between Liverpool and Manchester City. The two sides will face each other in the Premier League on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp's side are currently 2nd with the same amount of points as first placed Southampton, who have played one game more than the Reds, while City are 10th.
"At the minute I still think it will be between City and Liverpool," Shearer told The Athletic.
"Although Liverpool suffered a huge loss in losing Van Dijk for the season.
"Without playing magnificent football yet, they are top of the league.
"It should be a great game on Sunday and it’s a game that City need to win because they can’t afford to fall eight points behind."
