Trent Alexander-Arnold has been left frustrated after Bulgaria national team head coach Krasimir Balakov told media he hadn't heard any racist chants from home fans against England national team players.
Liverpool right-back started the match in Sofia on the bench, and witnessed the unacceptable behavior of Bulgarian fans, who overshadowed the football with their racist chants and nazi salutes.
Krasimir Balakov said after the match (via BBC): "I saw the referee stopped the game but I also have to say the behaviour was also not only on behalf of the Bulgarian fans but also the English fans, who were whistling and shouting during the Bulgarian national anthem."
"Is this guy for real? The way the team stuck together last night was unreal but we can't ignore what happened. The racism has gotta stop." Alexander Arnold replied to Balakov's statement posted by BBC on twitter.
With 15 points after 6 matches, England are yet to secure their place in Euro – 2020 group stage.
Southgate’s team will face Montenegro and Kosovo in their final matches of the qualifiers.
