Liverpool right-back Trant Alexander-Arnold has been warned by Cafu not to be a “big head” if he is to fulfill his potential as one of the best players in the world.
Alexander-Arnold was man of the match when Liverpool sent Manchester City crashing in their first leg quarter-final win last season and represented England at the World Cup.
And according to Brazil legend Cafu, he can become a global superstar if he keeps his head screwed on.
Cafu said: “To play for the England national team you have to be very good, and to play at Liverpool you have to be very, very good. But it takes times to mature and be consistent.
“I would advise him to work hard, do a lot of training, but above all show a lot of commitment to what he does. Never think that he is good enough. Don’t get complacent or big-headed. Work more and more.
“Twenty years old is a good age to make a decision if he wants to be a football player or a ‘professional’ football player with a long, respected career.”
