Reports claim that Chelsea have missed out their chance to land Alexandr Golovin. The Blues have been linked with the World Cup star following his stunning performances for Russia but Monaco are on the verge of winning the race for his signature. According to reports, Golovin has signed a five-year deal with Monaco.
The French side's vice-president Vadim Vasilyev confirmed to Russia publication Sport Express that Golovin waited until the last minute before deciding his future was in Ligue 1. It was believed CSKA Moscow had accepted a £27million fee but Golovin was waiting for the best offer.
