Liverpool hosted Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday, March 10, 2024 and played a 1-1 draw.
John Stones opened the scoring in the first half, while the Reds equalised from penalty in the second half as Alexis Mac Allister scored.
Towards the end of the game, the Reds could have been given another penalty to win the game as Jeremy Doku challenged for a bouncing ball and caught Mac Allister on his chest.
However, following a quick VAR check the penalty wasn't awarded and the game ended in a draw leaving the door open for the Premier League title race.
Currently, Arsenal lead the league table with 64 points, while the Reds are second with 64 points as well.
Meanwhile, City are 3rd with just one point behind the Gunners and the Reds.
Following the game, Mac Allister took to Instagram to share a message as he wrote: "This is Anfield, where every goal, every match, and every step fuels our journey. Let’s keep fighting together, because in this city, our spirit never walks alone."
