Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll scored an incredible goal during the club's first pre-season game. The 31-year-old failed to score in the first season at the club but he finished in an expert way during the friendly clash against Crewe Alexandra in York. Jamaal Lascelles played a long diagonal ball into the box from just inside the Crewe half. He picked out Carroll who leapt up in trademark fashion to chest the ball down. First, he juggled the ball on his head with one touch, then flicked it up again with his right foot to confuse the Railwaymen defenders and work a yard of space. The game ended with a 3-0 score.
