Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero forced to withdraw from World Cup 2018

Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has named as part of Jorge Sampaoli’s squad for World Cup 2018, but has now been ruled out of the squad. A brief statement from Argentina’s football federation read: ‘Sergio Romero suffered today a joint blockage in his right knee that will leave him out of the squad.’ It’s not yet confirmed who will replace him… Though Romero plays second fiddle to David de Gea at Manchester United, he is a key part of the Argentina national team.
