Armando Broja has sent a heartfelt message after picking up a serious injury during Chelsea's friendly match against Aston Villa.
The player has now confirmed he would be out of action as he needs surgery on his ACL. The forward is expected to miss the next 6-7 months and return at the beginning of the 2023/24 season.
"Devastated to be ending 2022 in this way. It’s been difficult to process everything over the past few days, but I am determined to come back even stronger and better than before," Broja wrote on Instagram.
"Everyone has there own journey to the top, this is just a minor setback for the good things to come in the future."
He added: "Thank you to everyone who has sent messages of support. It means a lot. I appreciate them all. I will be back soon."
