On May 23, Arsenal announced their new deal with Bukayo Saka to keep the skilled youngster at the club until 2027.
Having been with the club since the age of eight, the England international has successfully risen through Arsenal academy ranks to become an integral part of the first team. The current season is once again a testament to his exceptional talent, solidifying his reputation as one of the finest young players in the country.
At 21 years old, Saka has exhibited remarkable consistency by featuring in every single one of Arsenal's Premier League matches over the past two seasons. In the 2022/23 campaign alone, he has notched up an impressive tally of 14 goals and 11 assists across all competitions, surpassing his previous season's record of 12 goals. These outstanding performances have contributed to a total of 178 first-team appearances for him so far, showcasing his gigantic development and impact on the team.
Saka made his first team debut in 2018 when he was just 17 years old by staring at a Europa League match. When he was brought on the pitch as a substitute at Arsenal's win over Fulham in 2019, Saka became the first player born in the 21st century to play in a Premier League match.
Before the current season, the 21-year-old star was voted as the "Player of the Season" for two consecutive seasons, making him the first player after Thierry Henry since 2005 to have this honour.
