Arsenal and Barcelona open transfer talks over midfielder

Reports from Spain claim that Barcelona and Arsenal have opened talks over Andre Gomes. Barcelona are set to jet off to the United States for their pre-season tour and want to offload the midfielder by the time the transfer window closes. New head coach Unai Emery has already signed Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi but there’s still a place for another midfielder. Andre Gomes has arrived at the Camp Nou  from Valencia after some impressive performances, but the deal hasn’t worked for the 24-year-old. The player's transfer fee could worth €20m including bonuses.
