Arsenal are continuing their search in cheaper and younger candidate to replace Wenger as they simply don’t want to be drawn into paying huge wages for one of the highest-profile candidates.
The new manager will be obliged to bring out the best in the existing squad while also progressing the club’s younger players. According to reports, the newcomer will be given only around £50 million to spend on summer transfers.
Arsenal have not yet made any final decisions but chief executive Ivan Gazidis is committed to the club as a proper replacement. Luis Enrique is also one of the probable candidates who is expected to earn a lower salary.
Former captains Mikel Arteta and Patrick Vieira, Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim, Juventus boss Max Allegri and Hoffenheim manager Julian Nagelsmann are also on Arsenal’s shortlist.
