Arsenal finished their warm-weather break in Dubai with a match against the UAE Arabian Gulf League club. Despite Arsenal’s 3-2 win, the Gunners had a poor start to the game and found themselves a goal down after just 14 minutes. Shkodran Mustafi made an error that made Arsenal fans angry. With the German on his back and unable to make a worthwhile defensive contribution, Fernandez then struck a brilliant effort off the post to beat Bernd Leno. Fortunately for Arsenal, Carl Jenkinson equalised in the 42nd minute to pull the Gunners level by half time.
