Lyon “reduce Houssem Aouar asking price” amid Arsenal transfer interest
Lyon are ready to reduce their asking price for midfielder Houssem Aouar as Arsenal have their opening offer rejected. Mikel Arteta has reportedly placed the 22-year-old at the top of his transfer wishlist.
Aouar is keen to make the switch to the Premier League, although Arsenal are yet to agree on a fee with the Ligue 1 club. According to ESPN, Arsenal have had a €35million bid rejected for the Frenchman, but do expect an improved offer to be on the way.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed Arsenal have made an offer for Houssem Aouar. However, he says the Gunners’ bid is nowhere near close enough to his valuation.
Aulas also played down reports the French 22-year-old has agreed terms with the north London club in a deal worth £32million. He added that he expects Aouar to remain a Lyon player for the foreseeable future.
