Arsenal and Liverpool to battle Barcelona for Polish defender

Arsenal are reportedly facing competition from Liverpool and Barcelona for the signing of Polish youngster Sebastian Walukiewicz. According to  Mirror, Arsenal have sent scouts to watch the defender in action several times this season. Barcelona and Liverpool are believed to be monitoring Walukiewicz's situation ahead of a January transfer window, as well. The teenager is a regular with Poland’s international youth teams and is already being tipped to make a breakthrough into the senior squad in the near future. Serie A and Southampton are also interested in the youngsters services.
