Arsenal loanee set to return early as he 'did not meet Atletico expectations'

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is on a season-long loan at La Liga giants Atletico Madrid, but has started just two La Liga games since arriving, both at the very start of his loan spell. And it is now reported that Atletico boss Diego Simeone is keen on getting Torreira off his books, meaning he could be searching for a new club in Janaury. Atletico Madrid are reportedly ready to send Lucas Torreira back to Arsenal in January as he did not meet their expectations. And Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb claim that he will return to north London at the start of 2021.
