Arsenal have boosted their academy coaching staff amid a number of changes expected at first team and youth level this summer.
Academy chief Per Mertesacker acted quickly to replace goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman, who recently left the club to become manager of Bromley.
Woodman is replaced by highly-rated coach Terry Mason who joins from Southend United and has vast experience at youth level with England up to under-18s level.
Tony Strudwick has been appointed as the new head of sports science and medicine, where he arrives from Sheffield Wednesday.
Strudwick, who is a former Manchester United fitness coach, is also head of performance for the Wales national team, where he works alongside Arsenal assist Alberto Stuivenburg.
The Gunners are expected to make further additions to their coaching staff this summer with a football analyst among the current vacancies at Hale End.
