Arsenal reach agreement with £50m defender

Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement with Brighton over the signing of Ben White for £50million. The centre-back agreed personal terms with the Gunners several weeks ago, however, Brighton stood firm on their £50m asking price. Mikel Arteta was in a need for a centre back after the departure of David Luiz whose contract ended last month. Dinos Mavropanos and William Saliba have both gone out on loan, which leaves Rob Holding, Pablo Mari, Gabriel and Calum Chambers as the only senior natural centre backs at the club.
