Arsenal could be boosted as
the club confirmed that Dani Ceballos and Pablo Mari are nearing first-team returns. Ceballos missed Arsenal's 3-0 win over Newcastle in the Premier League on Monday due to a tight calf.
However, the 24-year-old's injury is not deemed significant and he will be assessed across the remainder of the week. During this season the central midfielder has made overall 24 appearances in which he has provided 1 assist.
Meanwhile, Mari has missed Arsenal's last two matches due to a calf injury. The centre-back is now being pencilled in to return to training next week. The 27-year-old has made overall 8 appearances in which he has scored one goal. Mari has missed most of the Gunner's games due to ankle injury.
Arsenal will face Southampton in the FA Cup on Saturday after which they will face the Saints again in the Premier League on Tuesday. The Gunners will then face Manchester United on Saturday, January 30.
