Arsenal star likely to leave the club next summer amid huge transfer interest

Arsenal star Granit Xhaka could be on his way away from the Emirates Stadium next summer, according to the latest report by Sky Sports. 

The Swiss professional has been a key member of Mikel Arteta's squad, helping the team to return to their winning and secure Champions League football for the next season. 

The midfielder's current deal at the club expires in the summer of 2024, and there are now firm talks over his possible contract extension. 

Sky Sports claim Bayer Leverkusen are interested in Xhaka's services, and the transfer is more likely to materialize next summer. This means the 30-year-old will part ways with the Gunners as a free agent and join the Bundesliga side. 

Leverkusen have previously shown their desire to get Xhaka's signature, while the deal is now more realistic. The player himself is eager to return to Germany as he reportedly told his Arsenal teammates.
