Following the horrible news on Danny Welbeck’s injury, Arsenal have started considering a replacement for the player. It has been appeared that Genk striker Leandro Trossard is one of the candidates for the role. According to Trossard’s manager Philippe Clement, it will take Arsenal over £25million to sign the player.
Scouts from the north London clubs have been spotted watching the 23-year-old, who has scored ten goals in 13 appearances in all competitions so far for his boyhood club.
However, Genk manager has stated that it’s not common for a club to lose one of their best players, despite Arsenal reported interest.
Speaking on
Le Grand Debrief on DH.be, he said: "I'm not afraid Trossard is leaving, it was not so easy to keep him last summer, but we talked.
"Normally no players leaves in January. 100 million is something else, but 25 million is not enough for Trossard to leave in January. "
