Why Arsenal trio Xhaka, Maitland-Niles and Lichtsteiner were left out by Emery

Arsenal beat Bournemouth 5-1 in their midweek Premier League match. Five different players scored for the Gunners; however, there were three absentees in the squad. Stephan Lichtsteiner, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Granit Xhaka were left out of the squad. According to  Football.london,   Emery monitored Maitland-Niles and Lichteiner closely during training and decided not to risk either ahead of such a busy period, with Maitland-Niles still not fully over his recent bout of illness and Lichtsteiner nursing a back problem. There is no injury worry for Granit Xhaka, he has been left out purely with the upcoming fixtures in mind and will return to the squad against Spurs on Saturday.
