Arsenal vs PSV Preview - 20/09/2023 - UEFA Champions League
Mikel Arteta will guide Arsenal in what would be their first UEFA Champions League match since the 2016/2017 season when they host the Netherlands giants PSV at the Emirates Stadium in mid-September.
The Gunners were unplayable last season, most especially at home. They boast fine wins over Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium, which obviously helped them finish as the 2022/2023 Premier League runners-up Manchester City.
According to Bookmakers, Arsenal are the favourites to finish Group B as the winners but for them to prove the bookies right, they must replicate their fine league home form in the Champions League and avoid defeats on the road. Their summer signings Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and David Raya will obviously make them stronger than last term.
PSV are also proper contenders to finish in the top spot thanks to the number of quality players at Roy Van Nistelroy's disposal, although they have the likes of Arsenal and Sevilla challenging for the spot as well. They qualified for the Champions League after they beat Scotland outfits 7-3 on aggregate across both matches.
The Dutch giants will want to start their UCL campaign in the best possible way but dreaming of a win or draw in London looks rather far-fetched.

Arsenal vs PSV Prediction - 20/09/2023 - UEFA Champions League
For the Arsenal vs PSV prediction, we say Arsenal will win 4-1 and this is why. The Gunners may have last played a Champions League game seven years ago but their recent home form is frightening, winning three of their last five home games including last weekend's 3-1 win over Manchester United. In addition, Arsenal won 1-0 the last time they hosted PSV.
We expect Arsenal not to keep a clean sheet because they didn't keep a clean sheet in their last five home matches, plus PSV are a good goalscoring sides, who scored twice in their last UCL outing against Rangers.
Prediction: Arsenal 4-1 PSV
