Arsenal player Ainsley Maitland-Niles joined West Brom an on a loan deal until the end of the season. Southampton and Leicester City have also approached the Gunners for the player. However, Arsenal rejected the Foxes, while Saints withdraw their interest. Mikel Arteta's side did not want the 23-year-old to join the club which is battling for the Champions League place. That allowed West Bromwich to finalise the deal. England manager Gareth Southgate is an admirer of the versatile midfielder but has made it clear he must be playing regularly if he is to be included in the squad for the tournament. Therefore, Maitland-Niles asked to leave the Gunners on a loan deal to boost his chances. West Brom have also reached a deal for Celta Vigo midfielder Okay Yokuslu.
