Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has admitted they have targeted Valencia striker Rodrigo.
La Liga giants face the long-term absence of one of their main forwards Luis Suarez due to his knee injury.
Bartomeu has confirmed that Rodrigo is an option to replace Suarez.
He told
Marca: "We don't talk about players from other teams. But [Rodrigo's] name is on the table of the coaches. And a replacement will arrive. I do not know whether it will be from Barcelona B or from outside [the club]. I like many players."
Rodrigo, being a former Real Madrid player, has scored 4 goals and assited 10 times in 23 appearances in Valencia this season.
