Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi has attracted both Barcelona and Manchester. United and Barcelona were eager to sign him in order to find new midfield addition. However, they received a negative answer from the Juve.

Eventually United signed Shakhtar Donetsk ace Fred, while Barca brought in Gremio midfielder Arthur.

Matuidi moved to Juventus from PSG and besides winning Serie A title, he also won the World Cup with France.
