Barcelona troll Chelsea with savage 14-word tweet: Chelsea respond

Barcelona’s attempt at trolling Chelsea about the Champions League on Twitter has hilariously backfired. La Liga champions Barcelona are set to face off against Europa League winners Chelsea in the pre-season Reakuten Cup match on Tuesday, July 25. Ahead of their match-up, Chelsea posted a video on Twitter, which showed their famous Champions League semi-final with Barca from 2012, when they drew the game 2-2. They went on to win the whole competition that year, thanks to some handy work from Didier Drogba in the final against Bayern Munich. The video was accompanied by a caption that read: “Barcelona v Chelsea tomorrow…” alongside a wink emoji.

Barcelona fired back at Chelsea. Their reply read: “Is this a throwback to when you guys were playing in the Champions League?”

Chelsea were quick to point out that Barcelona had forgotten one crucial thing. “Best not to mention Champions League throwbacks after the year you've had,” they replied.
