Bayern Munich suffer huge injury blow ahead of the game against Liverpool  

Bayern Munich Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer missed the game against Bayern Leverkusen due to his hand injury (3-1). The German was back at team training although he did not participate in goalkeeper’s training. According to SportBild sporting director, Hassan Salihamidžić remains hopeful of his return before Champions League tie with Liverpool. Following the defeat, Bayern boss Niko Kovac also commented on Neuer’s injury. “I can not say exactly. When I say it will be five months, there is a big fuss, and if I say it will be five days, everyone thinks it’s not that bad. The fact is, he was in pain. Otherwise, he would have played,” Kovac said. They travel to Merseyside to face Liverpool on February 19 in a Champions League showdown in the round of 16.
