SportBild: Hansi Flick and Leroy Sane have exchanged views during a 30-minute phone call

Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick has reportedly had a phone call with Manchester City winger Leroy Sane. According to Sports BILD, they have exchanged views during a 30-minute phone call. The personal contact and showing Sané how the coach plans with him is another step towards completing the move. The report claims, both sides can imagine working together. Three weeks ago it was reported, that Flick was sceptical of Sané’s character and favoured signing RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner. However, Bayern Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic backed Sane.

The German international has long been linked with a move to Bayern Munich. Some have suggested that the move was collapsed due to the serious cruciate ligament injury Sane sustained last August. Sane joined City from Schalke for £37 million in 2016. He won the PFA Young Player of the Year award in 2017-18. His deal with the club expires in 2021. Source: BILD
