Manchester United have a "90%" chance of signing AC Milan star Hakan Calhanoglu by the start of the 2021/21 season, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk. Calhanoglu's current contract expires in the summer of 2021, while the Serie A side have failed to sign a new deal with the player, which means the 26-year-old will be open joining another club. The winger has been linked with the move to a number of teams, including Juventus, Atletico Madrid and even city rivals Inter Milan. However, Falk claims United are "90%" favorites to get Calhanoglu’s signature. “According to our information, the first talks between Manchester and the entourage of Calhanoglu about a transfer in 2021 already took place this summer,” he said. “At that time, things were already very advanced. This is supported by the fact that the management rejected an offer from Juventus for an immediate transfer in 2020 shortly before the end of the transfer deadline. “At the moment it’s about the exact salary for the transfer. Calhanoglu has the big advantage that he is a free agent.”
