Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has spoken out on Mohamed Salah injury after the dramatic win against Newcastle United at St. James Park Stadium.
Belgium international Divock Origi scored a late goal after Xherdan Shaqiri’s cross from free-kick to keep Liverpool alive in title race.
However, Liverpool fans are sweating over Mohamed Salah’s head injury after Egypt international’s collision with Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.
Salah was forced to be substituted by Divock Origi, and he was stretched off the pitch.
“So am I (waiting news on Salah’s injury). I spoke to him after the game. So he got kicked in his head and doc had to made a decision. Remember the Vertonghen situation. (Tottenham center back got injured during the first leg against Ajax Amsterdam). He was sitting there and watching the game, the last fifteen minutes. We will see what comes up but it doesn't look really serious to be honest. I spoke to him. He looked really ok. The rest we have to see.” Klopp told beIN Sports.
