As Unai Emery alluded to his press conference, Laurent Koscielny was withdrawn as a precaution but he is a doubt for the weekend’s game against Southampton.
The Frenchman had been moving uncomfortably since a first half collision with a BATE Borisov forward but soldiered on into the second half as Arsenal looked to overcome a 1-0 first leg deficit from last week's tie in Belarus.
However Arsenal head coach Unai Emery was forced to make a change in the 56th minute by replacing Koscielny with Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
However the assessment was less optimistic for Koscielny, who was seen with an ice pack on his left shin as he watched on from the substitutes' bench.
In Koscielny's absence in weekend’s match against Southampton the armband was handed to Mesut Ozil.
