Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has named his squad that travelled to Aezbaijan for Thursday night’s game with Qarabag.
Thursday’s Europa League game will be Arsenal’s sixth match in less tan three weeks following the first international break of the season. It was thought that Emery may decide to rest a number of key players this week but that is not the case.
The Spaniard is taking season’s competitions seriously and has named a strong squad for their 5000 mile round trip to Baku.
Mesut Ozil has travelled from London, as have the likes of Sokratis, Shkodran Mustafi, Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal, Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka.
Alexandre Lacazette has also made the journey along with Matteo Guendouzi, Mohamed Elneny, Alex Iwobi, Sead Kolasinac and Eddie Nketiah.
A win against Qarabag will put Arsenal in a commanding position in the group ahead of the back to back games with Sporting Lisbon.
Petr Cech has not travelled to Azerbaijan and will be out for up to a month with a hamstring injury.
Other players currently sidelined are Konstantinos Mavropanos (groin), Ainsley Maitland-Niles (fractured fibula) and Laurent Koscielny (Achilles).
