Former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney was arrested for public intoxication and swearing in Washington last month, according to a report in the US.

The England legend allegedly committed the offense on December 16 last year. Rooney reportedly paid a $25 fine.

He was arrested by the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority.
