Currently 12th in league with 39 points, Chelsea's goal should be avoiding the lowest amount of points ever accumulated in a single Premier League season.
In both the 2015/16 and 1995/96 campaigns, they finished with 50 points. To avoid setting a new low, Frank Lampard and his squad must pick up 12 points from their upcoming games against Arsenal, Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Newcastle United before the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
However, it won't be an easy task for the Blues as they have lost four of their last six league matches and are winless since beating Leicester City in March. Given their recent performances, it is doubtful whether they can pick up many points in the remaining games, especially as most of their opponents have had strong seasons or are in good form.
Although Forest seems to be the most winnable game, Steve Cooper’s side is also eager to avoid relegation and secure Premier League survival.
