Canelo Alvarez’s hair follicle test is negative for clenbuterol

Mexican professional boxer Saul Canelo Alvarez at the Nevada commission’s request submitted to hair follicle testing. Alvarez was tested negative for the performance enhancing drug clenbuterol. However, Canelo tested positive on February 17 and on February 20. The negative hair follicle test is notable because  if 27-year-old Canelo continues to test positive for clenbuterol in the future, and continues to blame it on meat contamination like he did for his past test, then he will still likely be suspended by the Commission.
