Carlo Ancelotti opens up on Liverpool talks over manager's job

Carlo Ancelotti was appointed as Everton head coach on December, 2019. Ancelotti has revealed that he could have become Liverpool head coach before the Reds appointed Jurgen Klopp. “I had a chat, after Real Madrid , with the Liverpool owners. They were looking for a new manager but I think they made the right choice with Jurgen,” said Ancelotti. “Jurgen is doing fantastic work in Liverpool. Well done. He has created a fantastic team and fantastic players. They are in this moment in a really good shape, really good condition. But we must not think a lot about the opponent.” Ancelotti's side are preparing to face Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday, January 5th. source - Mirror
