Carlos Sainz breaks silence on Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari move

Carlos Sainz has spoken out on losing his Ferrari sit to Lewis Hamilton from 2025.

The news of Hamilton joining Scuderia Ferrari shook the world as it was in a way unexpected.

The seven-time world champion will be partnering with Charles Leclerc starting from 2025, meanwhile, Russell will have a new partner in the next season.

The hunt for the new driver at Mercedes is still ongoing as the season is underway.

Sainz' next team is also yet to be confirmed.

“I obviously understand Ferrari’s decision, the opportunity to sign a seven-time world champion and what it can entail and attract to a team," Sainz said.

“That's why, when I reflected on it, it didn’t hurt me that much. Because in the end it’s not any other driver replacing you, but the best driver in history. And in the end, if one has to replace me, let it be [Lewis].”

Before Formula One goes to summer break, there will be another race.

The upcoming race is Belgian Grand Prix that will take place on Sunday, July 28.
