Manchester United have made contact with Lyon for forward Moussa Dembele.
The Red Devil’s face the worst start of the season in 30 years, remaining on the 12th place of the Premier League table close to the relegation zone.
As the United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to improve squad, he targeted Dembele for the January transfer window.
Dembele has been the only sparkling player at Lyon this season, scoring six goals during his eight appearances for the French club.
According to
Daily Record, the Red Devils are in talks with Lyon for the player. The French club expects to grow the price tag till €80million for Dembele, but the player now costs only £20million.
Celtic could receive a financial boost after the deal between United and Lyon takes place. When Dembele joined Lyon from the Scottish club in the summer, the Hoops included a reported 10% sell. So should United sign Dembele for £80m, Celtic would pocket £8million.
