Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham are awaiting the draw for the Champions League group stage on August 29.
Tottenham, which are the only English side not placed in pot one, could face a nightmare draw but defending Champions Liverpool, Premier League victors City and Europa League winners Chelsea could also face a group of death.
In a worst-case, they could end up facing Real Madrid, Inter Milan and RB Leipzig, before they even reach the knockout stages.
Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Zenit St Petersburg are the only sides who will definitely be avoided having been confirmed in pot one. However, Spurs will definitely be drawn against one of those clubs.
Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli, Shakhtar Donetsk, Ajax and Benfica will all join Spurs in pot two.
Tottenham are the only team Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea will definitely not face, with both Spanish clubs, Dortmund and last year's semi-finalists Ajax likely amongst those they'll want to avoid.
Aside from pot three will then be added, with Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen, Salzburg, Olympiacos, Club Brugge, Valencia, Inter Milan, Dinamo Zagreb in the pot.
Pot 4 sees RB Leipzig, Galatasaray, Lokomotiv Moscow, Young Boys/Red Star Belgrade, Gend, Slavia Prague, Atalanta and Lille.
The final three pots are all subject to confirmation with the qualifying rounds still ongoing.
