Chelsea have officially initiated discussions with Paris Saint-Germain regarding the potential transfer of superstar Neymar.
Le 10 Sport reports that negotiations have commenced between the two clubs for the Brazil captain. Chelsea owner Todd Boehly recently visited Paris to hold meetings with PSG directors concerning transfer plans, and it has now been revealed that a move for Neymar is being pursued.
Although initially hesitant about joining Chelsea, Neymar has become more open to the idea. The attacker has experienced conflicts with PSG ultras, and the club seems to be undergoing a period of reorganization following Lionel Messi's departure.
Manchester United are also admirers of the Brazillian, although Chelsea seem to be the leader in the race to land him. Given Chelsea's challenging season, it is understandable that the club's owners are interested in acquiring the 31-year-old, as his arrival at Stamford Bridge would serve as a significant statement signing. If Neymar were to join Chelsea, he would be reunited with former PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino in West London.
