Chelsea have more chances over Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona to sign World Cup star

Russian player Alexandr Golovin, who has inspired the host nation in the World Cup, is thought to be attracting interest from a number of top European clubs. Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been scouting the player even before the tournament and according to reports from Russia, Arsenal’s new head coach Unai Emery is expected to offer an £21m bid in the coming days. Juventus are also front-runners to sign Golovin. However, Chelsea are the main club to reach the signing of the 22-year-old with Golovin’s ex-teammate Shirokov outlining why the FA Cup holders are the favourite to sign him. "I know there’s been contact between the player and Juventus, but we’ll have to see what CSKA think of it," he told Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by Sport Witness. "There’s no deadline for Golovin, and the CSKA president knows how to manage the market, both for arrivals and departures. “With this World Cup, Golovin’s value is increasing, and there could be a real auction for him. In this case, I see the English teams as favourites, especially Chelsea."
