Chelsea join race for £145m Barcelona star
Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are set to rival Manchester United for the signing of former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho, according to El Gol Digital.
The Brazil international is only a year into his contract at the Camp Nou following his £142million move from Liverpool last January.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Brazil midfielder has decided to stay at Barcelona despite reports he is unhappy with his current situation, but is ‘tempted’ by the possibility of a move to Old Trafford.
However, Don Balon state that French giants PSG are looking at capitalising on the situation and could launch a bid for Coutinho.
Meanwhile El Gol Digital claim, Chelsea have been approached by Barcelona over a possible deal for Coutinho.
Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu could apparently offer the 26-year-old to Chelsea as part of a deal to sign Belgian superstar Eden Hazard.
