Chelsea latest transfer news and updates: Angel Gomes's move to Chelsea, €35m asking price for player, FA to take FIFA to court over the Blues transfer ban and more

Chelsea have been in the centre of the news during recent months as they are set to have a busy transfer market in the summer. Here are what have been reported about the Blues today. Manchester United starlet Angel Gomes could join Chelsea, according to The Mirror. It is claimed Gomes has rejected a contract worth £30,000-a-week as he seeks assurances over first-team opportunities - and as we've seen this season, Chelsea are more than willing to give their youngsters playing time.
Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek should move to a club like Chelsea or Tottenham before heading to LaLiga, according to former Blues winger Jesper Gronkjaer. “I wouldn’t be surprised to see Van de Beek at Real Madrid or Barcelona but I would rather see him at a club just below that, Gronkjaer told Goal. "For his style of play alone, clubs like Tottenham or Chelsea would be a better fit."
The Football Association (FA) have taken FIFA to court in relation to Chelsea's transfer ban, citing a complaint over the governing body's disciplinary process regarding the verdict, writes Jack Rosser. The case - listed as 'The Football Association v FIFA' on the website of the Court of Arbitration for Sport [CAS] - will be heard on June 26.
Tiemoue Bakayoko is set to end his Stamford Bridge nightmare after it emerged Chelsea are willing to take a loss to let him leave permanently. The 25-year-old has spent the season on loan at AS Monaco and was farmed out to AC Milan for the 2018/19 campaign after falling out of favour. Le10 Sport have reported the Blues are in "advanced negotiations" with Paris Saint-Germain, who are ready to pay £25.8m for the midfielder.
Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack has advised Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz to turn down the temptation of moving to the Premier League and stay with the Bundesliga outfit for the benefit of his own career. "Players with his quality are in demand everywhere. But I think he’s in good hands in Leverkusen," Ballack told SportBild. "The conditions there are perfect for young top players and their development. ‘Bayer play attractive football and their training facilities are very good. "Leverkusen also offer a cautious environment, and as a player you can make mistakes without being the focus of criticism. You should appreciate that. Of course a player like Kai Havertz has to play in the Champions League, so it would be important for Leverkusen to qualify for it." Source: Express, Evening Standard, Football.london
