Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United interested in Mario Gotze

Premier League trio of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are all battling it out for the signature of Borussia Dortmund playmaker Mario Gotze, according to reports. Gotze will leave the club at the end of the season, club's sports director Micahel Zorc revealed. "This week I had a long and clarifying discussion with Mario," he said. "We agreed that we will not continue our collaboration after this season." Gotze, who scored the winning goal for Germany in the 2014 World Cup final victory over Argentina, played at Borussia Dortmund until 2013 when he switched to league rivals Bayern Munich. He returned to Borussia in 2016. The player can play along the front line and show his versatility and of course, Chelsea will be aiming to sign him on free. Manchester United are also interested but Liverpool could be frontrunners to sign him. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp managed the 63-capped Germany international during his time in charge at Dortmund. Gotze told Bild in an interview in April last year: “[Klopp] knew that I wanted to leave Bayern. Of course, we talked. He knows me very well and that I am always looking for new challenges. I often speak to Klopp. He brought me to the first team when I was 17 and he made it all possible. We never stopped talking.” Source: ESPN Join us on Telegram!
